easter 2010
grammy, pappy & special k came over saturday to celebrate easter and we went to the egg hunt and service at our church. despite the egg hunting practice we held last week, mason was quite unimpressed with the process. fortunately, egg hunting wasn't the reason for our celebration!

more new york
it turns out, i really don't take that many pictures when mason's not around! here are a few fun ones from the (small) bunch...
i heart ny
the past week flew by! i cashed in my christmas present from brad - a trip to new york to visit my sister (aka aunt kant). with my bags packed full of mexican food, i boarded the plane and headed to long island.

the next day was cloudy, but not rainy, so we went to the city. fun times. between the street vendor food (yum!), empire state building, avenue q (the musical), and wandering around times square, we had a ball.
i did miss the men in my life, though. we talked at least twice a day and brad sent me pictures of the little monkey as they found various activities to entertain them both.
i booked the trip in january, before aunt kant and ungle g knew about their little surprise. happily, i was the first of the nasse clan to see korey and her newfound glow! we had a blast. the first day was perfect.
you'd never know it was 35 degress out, right?! we bundled up and took a walk on the beach.

days 3 and 4 were rainy. really really rainy. so we stayed inside and vegged. it's been at least 19 months since i vegged out on the couch and i loved every minute of it! we caught up on movies that were released in the last year(!) and visited. did i mention i read 4 books in 5 days? bliss.

my flight arrived home at 9:30 wednesday night and mason welcomed me with a 3 am wake-up call - just to say hi and tell me he was thirsty. and when he woke up for good at 8 am thursday,
he was beaming and leaped into my arms for a long, head-on-my-shoulder hug. so sweet.
7 minutes
it takes me seven minutes to switch a load of clothes in the laundry room. apparently it also takes mason seven minutes to completely destroy the living room. coincident? i think not.

he managed to disassemble the train table daddy bought him while i was out of town, turn on the tv (who knows where he found the remote control), move the table and chairs, rip the basketball goal off its base, and drag his blanket into the room. what can i say? he's efficient - and sufficiently destructive!
