party at my crib

so it's not quite mtv cribs, but mason now has a bed to lay his head -- well, almost. we bought the crib and a dresser for him and in 8-12 short weeks (ha!) it should be delivered. funny how they plan all that -- you order the furniture when you feel good and can still move around, and then you wait three months until you're exhausted and huge and then you get to put the room together... makes perfect sense! oh well, i guess that just means that brad will have a supervisor when it all arrives! (he loves it when people tell him what to do...)

we're still on the hunt for a chair after an unfortunate run-in with a less-than-brilliant salesperson who gave us lots of inaccurate information, but we're hopeful we'll find the perfect fit for mason's room soon.

outside of these room developments, we're just hanging out watching my belly grow! brad felt mason kick for the first time this week. i've felt quite a bit more of mason's gymnastics lately, but being able to see little movements on the outside is definitely a new thing. for those of you who have already experienced this, you know how cool it is to see and feel the little one inside you moving around.

we go in for our next doctor's appointment this friday to check in on him and see how much i've/he's grown in the last month... always a fun experience, especially considering that the first stop is the scale. i've decided that i'll just start standing on it backwards to avoid witnessing the inevitable climb in the numbers! have a great week!

Ok... did a little chair research and found the perfect one for you guys. All the cool kids are doing it.

Anything called a 'large royal sack' must be a solid choice for any boy's room. Comes in a myriad of colors to match your palette. Personally I think camo would be a good selection.

PS I AM aware of Brad's extreme interest in bean bags - and I fully support his passion.

Very excited for you guys as baby Mason continues to grow and becomes more active. Keep the posts coming!

Hi you two! Great to see things are going so well for you and baby Mason! Here are some thoughts on your post (hopefully they'll be helpful) ...

Best Chairs has a line of upholstered nursery chairs ... their gliders are amazing and so comfy. You move your head in the slightest and the thing rocks away.

Kammy, the doctor only got concerned about my weight once. It was the day I walked back out without my knee-high, heavy-heeled boots on to get an "accurate" weight on the scale :). I fully support you turning around to not see the number.

Oh, and if you're still looking for maternity pants, Motherhood has some with a full panel that feels like the top of panty hose (looser with no actual piece of elastic) that are FANTASTIC!!! My college roommate gave me her old pair of jeans like that and I wore them ALL THE TIME (still do as I'm losing the baby belly). If I could have had every pair of pants with that top I would have.

Good luck with all your shopping!

three words about upholstered chairs...old milk smell. whatever you feed mason, chances are good you will get to revisit at least some of the stuff that went down. you don't want to have to sit in the smell later!!!!!!

things to ponder... love auntie korey
