tomorrow i go back to work - which means that i will no longer be mason's primary caregiver day in and day out. i have mixed emotions about this. on one hand, i have a great job. i enjoy what i do - it's challenging, fun, and most days, rewarding. on the other hand, i have a great kid. his gummy grin is adorable, his laugh contagious, and the joy he's brought to my life is indescribable.
i am grateful for the 12 weeks i've had to love, nurture, and hang out with my baby boy. i'm grateful for my boss who is anxiously awaiting my return. and i'm grateful for the school that mason is attending which has an awesome curriculum -- even in the infant room. it just sucks that i can't be everywhere at once (or have his crib under my desk).
mason test drove his new school today - i dropped him off around 11 am and brad will be picking him up around 4:30 pm. i ran errands all day getting ready for tomorrow and brad watched mason on the web cam most of the day. mason's done well, but there will be an adjustment period for both of us. please pray for us as we enter this new phase - for a smooth transition, for a positive outlook, and for the peace that transcends understanding.

I'll be thinking about you and praying for you. It's an adjustment that I'm still not quite used to, but you will certainly appreciate every moment you have with him. I know that God will bless you and watch over all of you!
