- climbing over and under furniture and other stationary objects. his favorites are climbing under the dining room table and over the bar on the barstools.
- dropping and/or throwing pacifiers, sippy cups, bottles, toys, and other items to hear the sound it makes when the object hits the ground and to see if we'll pick it up for him.
- carrying toys with him as he crawls or creeps (walking while holding on to something).
- pushing anything that moves to walk behind it - such as his train, the kitchen chair, his music table, a laundry basket, and poolside furniture.
- drinking out of a straw. the boy hates juice, but loves water.
- pursuing cassie dog. he is trying so hard to win her over, with little success.
- begging for a bite of everything we eat. it is quite funny to watch as he leans in close and opens his mouth anytime you load your fork with food.
- waving and clapping for friends and neighbors. the best was when mason and i were talking to brad on the phone and i told mason to tell daddy bye-bye. he looked up and started waving. too cute.
- acting like he doesn't need parents. whether this is trying to flip off the changing table, standing up in the bath, grabbing the spoon, or reaching for the doorknob on the back door, mason is convinced that he can do it himself and doesn't need us. this should be really fun in another 15 years.
- bringing a lifetime of laughs and love to our lives in just eleven months.
we love you, mason! i wish we could push "pause" just to enjoy these moments a little longer.
