what a trooper

coming to our driveway soon...

if nothing else (and trust me, he's much, much more), brad is persistent. on the night we met, brad told me his life story in about 5 minutes. that story included his dream of being a police officer, specifically a state trooper. since he was 16 years old, this is what he's wanted to do.

for numerous reasons, he hasn't done it yet. but that doesn't mean it hasn't come up at least every 6 months since we've been married. for the record, our 10th anniversary is in december. you do the math!

delayed or not, brad's dream is soon to become a reality. on friday, june 18, after a grueling 7-month, 15-step application process, he was invited to attend the texas state trooper academy in austin beginning july 18. it's an 18-week training and he couldn't be more excited (except for the whole leaving his wife and son for 4.5 months!) thankfully, he should be able to come home on most weekends.

we are so proud of him and can't wait to see his dream come true. we ask that you pray for him (and us!) as he earns the badge. we'll keep you posted on the progress as time (and sanity) allow!

And we are SO excited for him! :) There's nothing like living out a dream! And, we are here if you two need anything while he's gone... and I really mean that!
