family vacation 2011

on saturday after the big ultrasound, we loaded the car early and headed for the airport. after six hours of flying (2 stops), we arrived in the hamptons to check out korey & greg's renovated digs and settle in for a week of fun.

spoiler alert: i did not take many pictures. bad mommy.

while i wouldn't say the week was jam-packed full of activities, it was nice to visit with family and enjoy each other's company. the (adult) boys played golf several times while the girls wrangled kiddos and juggled the opposite feeding and napping schedules of two adorable little boys.

a quick run-down:

sunday: golfing for the boys & tuckahoe park for the girls & kids

check out this big boy on the swing!

so many things to climb, so little time

what other aunt climbs in the tire swing with you?
only special k!

run, mason, run!
(mommy needs you to take a good nap today!)

tanner hung out and tasted grass while mason acted like a monkey

monday: riverhead aquarium

this is a nice octapus, right?

tuesday: 3 sisters & 2 husbands hit up NYC! (and not a single picture to show for it - at least on my camera... kasey has a couple - hint, hint)

wednesday: golfing for the boys & train ride to montauk for mason, kammy & grammy **

waiting on the train

a common sight, even in the blue states...

someone was VERY excited to ride the choo choo...

... and didn't want lightning mcqueen or 'mater to miss out on the fun!

thursday: swimming in the bay for brad & mason; shopping for kammy, korey, mom & dad

friday: golfing for the boys; mini-meltdown from a cabin-fever-stricken kammy, a walk to windmill park in the rain & an escape to sag harbor for brad & kammy

mason was most impressed by all the airplane rides. i was most impressed by the cooler weather (and by little bit's decision to grow exponentially on the trip). i think brad was just glad to finally make it on a family vacation! :)

So glad everyone was able to go and had a good time. I am trying to think of where to go next. We need a getaway!
