with the family vacation to williamsburg, virginia, scheduled to begin the next day, mason and i set about packing friday night. sadly, brad’s new job didn’t come with much vacation time, so he wasn’t able to join us. knowing I’d need plenty of things to keep mason occupied, we packed a few of his favorite toys – including his train! fortunately, we had a suitcase big enough to accommodate it. i don’t think mason fully understood the packing concept because he would watch me put his stuff in, and then would promptly reach over me to take it back out. i could see “but mommy, that’s mine! i need that!” written all over his face!
we finally finished and went to bed, hoping to catch some sleep before the long travel day.
