20 months!

hi! i'm mason. it took my mommy 20 months to get a picture of me with a full, toothy grin looking directly at the camera! aren't i cute? i hijacked the computer from mommy (i'm pretty sneaky), and i realized that she is over a week late on my 20 month update. it's time to take things into my own hands... highlights from the past month include:

• learning lots of new words! a few of my new favorites are book, bubbles, whoa!, light, water, daddy (instead of dada), bed, and bus. daddy says i'm picking up a new word every day.
• jumping. i've been trying to jump for several months, but i'm really good at it now. both feet off the ground at the same time, catching air!
• rocking myself in the glider. i really don't like mommy to rock me. when she does, i just point to my bed and say "bed!"
• sleeping with all of my stuffed animal friends. i insist on having my frog pillow, my three monkeys, and my bear every night. mommy says there's hardly any room for me!
• playing jokes. i love to joke with mommy and daddy when i'm putting together my puzzles. i put a piece in the wrong spot and wait for their reaction. then i say "noooo" and shake my head and laugh, laugh, laugh. i do this in all the wrong spots before i finally put it in the right one. it's SO funny!
• driving mommy's car. i still love to drive and i especially like mommy's car. i really like the push-button start. even though the car won't start, i can still turn on the music and dance!
• helping with laundry. i open and close the dryer door as mommy switches the loads, push the laundry basket into the den, and make sure daddy helps fold the clothes. i hand one piece to mommy, then one piece to daddy, until we're all done. we all help out around here!
• reading books. after months of not caring about books at all, i finally decided i like them. mommy was very excited.
• woofing at everything. even though i know all the animal sounds, i particularly like dogs. i woof at everything - dogs, people, cars, you know - anything that moves.
