spiderman took to the streets tonight for his first trick-or-treat experience. daddy was working, but was able to take a dinner break to walk with us around the neighborhood

34 weeks... looking down at the belly

pretty much looks like i swallowed a pumpkin.

field trip to the farm

a couple of weeks ago we spent the day as a family at dewberry farms.

we had a blast.

we rode on the swings

climbed on the fort

took photos with cool lines

slid down fast slides (and even paused for a picture!)

jumped high

(who says white men can't jump?!)

played in the corn maze

got a little lost in the corn ;)

found an exit in the sunflowers

and loved every minute of daddy's weekend off!

scary eyes and crazy hair

sometimes your kid tells you something that you just have to share...

#1: "mommy, you have "scary" eyes - why?"
translation: mommy, why are you wearing mascara? it took a few iterations before i figured this one out, but it was pretty funny once i got it. next up was trying to explain why girls have scary eyes and boys don't.

#2: "mommy why do you have crazy hair? i don't like crazy hair. i like good hair"
translation: mommy, you really shouldn't go to bed with wet hair. the result is less than desirable. apparently bed head is frighteningly similar to curly hair because i have been accused of having crazy hair (which he doesn't like) under both circumstances.

gotta love the honesty of a 3 year old!

final days in st. maarten

the last couple of days in st. maarten were spent relaxing... as in no itinerary, no agenda, no plans. it was fabulous. this also meant we didn't take too many pictures. but for people who are tied to a schedule every other day of their lives, we're ok with not documenting every moment of our r&r...

it was brutal for this 7-month-pregnant-person

our resort was basically built on a cliff... 

beautiful, but again, lots of walking!

we spent most of thursday here

i'm sure she also made fantastic mixed drinks, but i didn't have any of those :)

it's a plane!

the only thing on brad's "must do" list for st. maarten was a visit to sunset bar to watch the planes fly directly overhead. so of course, we had to do it. 

just in case there was a question as to the safety of this event

(for the record, i sat in the bar with my bottle of water, which is why the photos don't show the plane directly overhead)
