mommy and daddy are still adjusting to life with a newborn and a very rambunctious 3 year old. it's been a couple of wild weeks with mommy getting knocked down with illness beginning christmas day, daddy getting ready to go back to work, and mason wondering why on earth his parents aren't raring to go when he wakes up each morning at 7 am! madison seems oblivious to it all and eats every 3 hours, pretty much on the dot.
our little bit is starting to stay awake more and loves gazing into our eyes. she remains unbothered by her brother's craziness, which is undeniably a God-given trait. i still haven't been able to get a photo of her with her eyes open, which at this point, are blue! and it turns out that those adorable cheeks aren't just for looks. she also likes to fill her cheeks with milk and spit it out at you when you least expect it. we've coined this act "chipmunking" and, depending on the position of the burp cloth, laugh when she does it.
we are blessed, but definitely still in a fog trying to find our groove. here's a few pictures of our cutie on her one month birthday.
