dear madison,
mommy has always kept this blog as a sort of online baby book for mason and now you. please don't judge that the lack of entries thus far is part of the "second child syndrome." it is not that. it has been a mad house around here. your brother is wild, but he isn't behind the lack of posts. mommy has been sick more in the last 2 months than she has in the past 2 years. it started the week before you were born and has continued into late december and now january. you see, in an effort to provide you with all the nutrients you need, mommy has managed to wind up with two rounds of infection, 3 weeks apart. because i have found it impossible to function with fevers reaching 104, you will now be drinking formula and i promise to take more photos.
i will also admit that when i have been well, i've been on the quest for perfect photos. guess what? i've yet to take one. or anything close. so, as part of the promise to take more photos, i will post those that don't pass the perfect test, but do represent the present reality.

hope you have a long streak of being well! I can't imagine going through the first few months and being sick on top of it!! I've been telling myself lately, "just take a bunch of pictures of her" just to make sure I get some every day ones of L. Oh, the second child.
hang in there mama! it can only get better, right?!? i'm proud of you!
and i understand. i'm scamblin to finish (ok start) tad's official baby book before he turns one...tomorrow. oops. thankful for grace in parenting! i am the second child and i turned out ok.
