our favorite 4 year old

how on earth did this boy grow up so fast?! words to describe our may-may: silly. funny. talkative. good-natured. hard-headed. energetic. jokester. he can have us belly laughing one minute and pulling our hair out the next. he has taught us that parenthood is simultaneously the most challenging and rewarding responsibility we've ever had. 

thank you Lord for this indescribable gift.

allergies

just like the rest of the family, madison has TERRIBLE allergies. she's on regular maintenance medicine (children's claritin) but every now and again, we break out the breathing treatment machine to help break up all yucky stuff in her nose/throat.

when mason was her age, we had to take some drastic measures to distract him so he wouldn't rip the mask off his face (the most hilarious of which was listening to rap music on the computer). no other music genre would work.

madison, not so much...

this just in...

mommy is not liking the way things are going around here...

today, madison:

• crawled over to a boy sitting in a bouncy seat, pulled up and started kissing him
• tried to climb the stairs
• said "da da" and smiled at daddy when he got up from the dinner table

it's all downhill from here, friends.

we interrupt this (totally unacceptable) blog break to ask a simple question....

princess of the pool

this 8-month old beauty loves splashing in the pool! when she's not hanging out in the beach entry pool, she's sitting by the water feature getting sprayed in the face. no fear for this one. 

she goes with the flow regardless of the circumstance and every once in a while when the camera is out, she'll flash you a grin.
